ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR AND COLLECTED BY MONDAY 6PM AFTER THE SALE TO AVOID A 10% PLUS VAT LATE CHARGE BEING ADDED TO EACH PURCHASED LOT. Weekend collections are available.

Buyers premium 24% Inc VAT

Minimum commission £2.00 per lot

All measurement's are approximate.

Additional £1.00 per invoice charged per statement.

The bidding increments deemed appropriate for any Lot shall be at the auctioneer's sole discretion.

At viewing times, buyers are given opportunity to view and will be assumed to have done so. In addition, condition reports are available via the ‘Ask a Question’ link on the online listing and email. Buyers must rely solely on their own judgement as to whether lots are fit for any particular purpose, and as to compliance with the description or illustrations.

If payment is not made by 6pm Monday following the sale, we reserve the right to charge the card used for registration on Easy Live Auction.

The buyer shall at their own risk and expense take away any Lots that the buyer purchased and paid for no later than 2 working days following the day of the auction or upon the clearance of any bank transfer used for payment. After the buyer shall be responsible for any removal, storage and or damage incurred to items.

REMEDIES FOR NON-PAYMENT OR FAILURE TO COLLECT PURCHASES

(1) If any Lot is not paid for in full and taken away in accordance with these

Conditions or if there is any other breach of these Conditions, we, as agent for the seller and on our own behalf, shall at our absolute discretion and without prejudice to any other rights we may have, be entitled to exercise one or more of the following rights and remedies:

(a) To proceed against the buyer for damages for breach of contract;

(b) To rescind the sale of that Lot and/or any other Lots sold by us to the buyer;

(c) to resell the Lot (by auction or private treaty) in which case the buyer shall be responsible for any resulting deficiency in the total amount due (after crediting any part payment and adding any resale costs). Any surplus so arising shall belong to the seller;

(d) To remove, store and insure the Lot at the buyers' expense and, in the case of storage, either at our premises or elsewhere

All items must be paid for within 2 working days

Full payment of all items must be paid by means of cash, bank transfer, debit card or credit card.

We do not accept American Express or cheques

For purchasers not present at our premises payment must be made by banker’s draft or bank transfer in pounds sterling (details on request)

International buyers will incur an additional £20 for bank transfer charge. This will be added to the invoice.

(The purchaser has the option to pay all bank charges at their end, therefore removing our charges)

All items must be picked up, no later than 2 working days after the auction, unless prior arrangements have been agreed.

Right to bid on behalf of Seller

In the case of lots upon which there is a reserve price the Auctioneers reserve the right to bid on behalf of the seller to one bid beneath the reserve price.

The Auctioneers are prepared to accept absentee bidding, on the understanding that clients and or their representatives leaving such bids have viewed the lots in question and have satisfied themselves as to the authenticity and condition of each lot. Such bids may be accepted from clients who have not viewed but only on the understanding that items purchased on their behalf will be paid for and removed without question.

Non-Payment and Bidder Suspension

1. All winning bidders are required to complete payment within the specified timeframe.

2. Failure to remit payment in full within the stated period will result in immediate forfeiture of the item(s) won.

3. Non-paying bidders may be suspended or permanently banned from participating in future auctions at the sole discretion of Locke's Auctioneers.

4. Locke's Auctioneers reserves the right to pursue any legal remedies available to recover unpaid amounts.

Protecting Auctioneers

To ensure the protection of all parties we work with from any form of illegal, unfair, or inappropriate behaviour, we take practical measures. This involves keeping track of account activities, including user contact information, device usage, website activity, bidding history, purchase records, and payment history. This information is shared with other relevant partners, such as auctioneers, to assist parties in managing their commercial risks in the context of our joint services.

In the event that behaviour is deemed inappropriate or presents a threat, we reserve the right to temporarily halt automatic approvals. In such cases, you will need to directly communicate with the auctioneer in order to participate in their auction.

White Label Platforms

When we offer technological services to an auctioneer, you become a direct customer of the auctioneer and they assume the role of data controller. The auctioneer is accountable for the handling of your data. Any enquiries or concerns regarding your data should be directed to the auctioneer.
